I am an expired IKO Instructor with an open quality case, can I do the Expired Instructor Reassessment?
No, you will have to attend an ITC, if the Quality Department approves your place.
What can I do to become a Level 2 Instructor?
IKO Instructors have to log the students they have taught along with teaching hours.
To do so, login to your account ; go to the tab "My Students" and click on “Certification”.
Then click on the ‘+Kiteboarder’ and fill in your student’s details.
You can see how many students and hours you have logged by going to the tab “My Students” and clicking on “Feedback”, it will be displayed in the table at the top.
How can I view my current certified students and teaching hours?
- Log in to your IKO account.
- On the left-hand menu, scroll to the bottom and click “My Profile”.
- In your profile page, look for the Experience section.
- Here, you will see:
- Teaching Hours
- Number of Students
- Training Hours
This section gives you a quick overview of your teaching activity and student certifications.
What is the Expired Instructor Reassessment?
The Expired Instructor Reassessment enables an IKO Instructor whose membership has been expired for more than two years to be recertified, without having to attend an ITC.
Will I have to pay full price for an ITC if I fail an Expired Instructor Reassessment?
No, your IKO reassessment fee will be deducted from your ITC fee.
If I fail the Expired Instructor Reassessment, will I be able to do it again?
No, if you fail the Expired Instructor Reassessment, and you still want to be revalidated, you will have to pass an ITC.
I am certified by another organization. What can I do to become IKO Instructor?
You can enroll in any IKO Instructor Training Course (ITC) to qualify as an IKO Instructor without needing to attend the IKO Assistant Training Course (ATC) first. Contact us to reserve your spot.
