What do I need to do to remove my school from the IKO Unauthorized list?

The best option is to send us an email requesting to affiliate your school with us. We have a FREE school membership option.

  • If the DMCA was submitted simply because you are an expired instructor who did not remove the intellectual property from your website or social media, get in contact with us and request to renew your membership and remove your name from the list.
  • The second option is to remove IKO’s intellectual property from your website or social media and send us an email letting us know that it’s been done.

What are the consequences of not removing IKO intellectual property from my website and/or social media if my school is not affiliated, suspended, or expired?

Keep in mind  that efore facing any of the consequences below listed IKO will always contact the member or non-member.

  • The first consequence of not removing IKO intellectual property from your unaffiliated, suspended, or expired school is facing a DMCA report sent to your website's hosting provider and/or social media platform which may shut down your media.
  • The second consequence is to be listed on the IKO unauthorized list.

Will IKO add my school or me if we are expired into the unauthorized list?

As soon as a school or an instructor has expired, we get in contact to inform them that the membership must be renewed to keep IKO benefits and the right to use IKO intellectual property. However, suppose the school or the instructor does not reply to our messages. In that case, we may consider that our messages have been ignored, and we will open a quality case requesting the removal of the IKO intellectual property from their website and/or social media. If the expired school or instructor does not remove the aforementioned, violating our standards, a DMCA report will be submitted.

What is a DMCA report and why did IKO submit one against my website and/or social media account?

IKO may submit a Digital Millennium Copyright Act report if you have not removed IKO intellectual property from your website or social media account, as previously requested by email. The DMCA enforcement department will contact your hosting provider or social media platform and ask them to remove the infringing content. Your website and/or social media account could be shut down if you do not remove the infringing content.
